What Collar Are You?

Do you feel restless? Do you feel unsatisfied? Do you feel there must be a better way to make a living?

The good news is that there is a better way. But it’s different from anything you have learned in school or from anything you have done before.

Let’s create the ultimate business. Describe what it would look like. Get specific in telling me things that you would want and things you would like to avoid. Most people I ask to do this usually start by telling me things they don’t want. Things like; no boss, no commute, no alarm clock, no employees, no boss, no politics, no educational requirement.

After a few of these “negative dumps” they start focusing on things on a more positive level. Things like; great product, great people to work with, time freedom, immediate income, residual income, something meaningful, personal growth, tax benefits, time freedom, FUN!

Now I’m sure that you can come up with other attributes but I’m sure that you would agree that the above list is a pretty good start for the ideal work environment.

Now let’s get back to reality.

Most working people fall into one of two categories: Blue Collar and White Collar.

Blue Collar is defined as a working class person who performs manual labor in US usage. Blue-collar work may involve skilled or unskilled manufacturing, mining, oil field, construction, mechanical, maintenance, technical installation and many other types of physical work. Often something is physically being built or maintained.

I’m sure there can be some variants to this definition and I’m also sure that blue collar work can be quite rewarding for some, but let me ask, does the blue collar job look anything like the ideal work environment?

The obvious answer is no. The blue collar job cannot take you in the direction of your dreams.
The White Collar worker is defined as a person who performs professional, managerial, or administrative work, usually working for someone, and typically involves working in an office or cubicle. It has been my experience with these type of jobs is that there is so much politics involved that any significant promotions require a bunch of puckering up awaiting the right derriere.

Doesn’t seem to take you in the direction of your dream career path either.

So is the “perfect dream career” even possible? Sure it’s nice to dream……..

STOP!!!!

Right there. Don’t go any further.

Let me finish that statement. Sure it’s nice to dream and it makes perfect sense to follow your dreams. What’s holding you back from making your dreams a reality? Is the answer to that just an excuse or a legitimate obstacle?

Allow me to introduce you to another “collar”. I like to call this Open Collar. This type of person looks at opportunity with an open mind and doesn’t pre-judge until presented with complete information and does his due diligence as to its feasibility. An open collar worker finds his way past obstacles. We focus on solutions.

Does this collar sound like the mindset needed to achieve your dream career path? Does this sound like something that might take you closer to your goals or further away from them?

Take a look at an opportunity that fills the need on every level as to the Ultimate Career Path.

What Is Wealth?

“Happiness is not in the mere possession of money; it lies in the joy of achievement, in the thrill of creative effort.”
― Franklin D. Roosevelt

To me, wealth doesn’t mean having a ton of possessions. It means having zero wants.

Our lives are mere flashes of light in an infinitely empty universe. In 12 years of education the most important lesson I have learned is that what we see as “normal” living is truly a travesty of our potential.

Refuse normalcy. You are essentially who you create yourself to be and all that occurs in your life is the result of your own making. So why the hell would you intentionally make yourself poor? Im sure growing up as a child you didn’t consciously decide to struggle with money, bills and life. We had magnificent dreams back then but somewhere along the line we got sidetracked.
Fortune sides with those that dare. The man who becomes wealthy is in a measure successful, but only so far as the acquirement sharpens his intellect, broadens his powers, and develops him into a self-reliant, powerful member of society for its good. Selfish wealth is never good. One may be a millionaire, but if with it comes greed and the oppression of others, the success is very small indeed.

I am here because of prior choices I have made.
My thoughts control my actions.
My actions determine my destiny.
My destiny is controlled by my choices.

I am who I am and where I am because of my choices.

Become A Money Magnet

I read this article and thought it was worth sharing.

I was thinking how some people seem to just attract success and all of its byproducts of which "money" is one. How is it that others seem that the harder they work (or chase) their money, they seem to actually REPEL money?

Once again, it comes down to Mindset. Enjoy the article.

http://www.morganarae.com/relationship-with-money/top-five-tips-to-become-a-money-magnet/

You’ve already proven your intelligence, talent, and tenacity. You work hard, and you have so much to offer, so why isn’t your value reflected in your pocketbook?

You could be repelling Money with unconscious beliefs and behaviors.

Here are five quick tips to attract more Money into your life:

Money Magnet Tip #1
Appreciate Money! If even a penny shows up on the sidewalk, thank Money for the gift. Don’t worry about denomination; appreciate everything. Think of how good you feel when you're valued for even a small gesture. It’s the same for Money. Every time you practice receiving and appreciating, you train the universe to send you more.

Money Magnet Tip #2
Strengthen your Boundaries. I define boundaries as the courage to say “yes” to what you want and “no” to what you don’t want. You teach the universe how you want to be treated with every choice you make. Let go of what others think about you, and be true to yourself. Clear the clutter and energy drains in your life. Weak boundaries attract exploitation, resentment, and a sense of powerlessness. Strong boundaries build your self esteem, and they free you to focus on what is important to you. This is very attractive.

Money Magnet Tip #3
Make a Wish List. Make a list of 100 things you would be, do or have if money were no object. The length of the list stretches you out of scarcity thinking. The items on the list put what you want on your radar. Wish lists are magical. Through a mental process called Reticular Activation, your mind will start to discover opportunities to manifest the items on your list that may have been invisible to you before. Notice how things on your list will “show up” with the means to pay for them!

Money Magnet Tip #4
Become an excellent Money manager. As my friend John Berg used to say, "Know what you have. Know what you owe. Know where it comes from. Know where it goes." Automatically set aside Money for wealth building, even if you're paying down debt. Learn how to read an Asset/Liability form. Set up Quickbooks or Quicken or a spread sheet. Paying attention to Money makes Money feel appreciated.

Money Magnet Tip #5
Surround yourself with Success. Hang around the people who've mastered what you want to learn, and you'll evolve yourself that much faster. I call this Success by Association. We naturally take on characteristics of the people we are around the most. If you want to be financially free, spend your time with financially successful people who share your values. Pick up their mindset and practices for wealth building. Your worldview and your behavior will naturally shift to support more abundance and prosperity.

Dare To Dream

"The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams."
- Eleanor Roosevelt

When we are children, we all had some lofty dreams. Dreams of what we want from life and what we want our lives to be. Some kids dream of being an astronaut, others dream of being The President. Some dream of a living in a kingdom of riches while some dream of the person they will marry.

Whatever...we all had great big crazy dreams when we were kids.

So what happens to us as we grow older? What happened to all those wild and crazy dreams we had?

LIFE happened, THAT'S what. At least the life presented to us through our educational system and - DARE I SAY IT? - bad parenting. (OK, I'll cut the parents some slack because THEY have been the victims themselves, but just SOME slack) We go through our formative years in something called a school where we learn the basics of "readin' ritin' and rithmetic" but what we need to survive financially is mostly left up to fate. We get jobs that produce an income AND society teaches us to produce something called "Debt" giving us a life that doesn't match up to our BIG dreams so what do we do?

We adjust down our dreams to be more in line with our income. We tell ourselves that we don't REALLY want that dream house, car, career or __________________ (fill in the blank) because we have allowed someone else to determine our worth and...well, our dreams just didn't fit the plan that someone else has.

Wouldn't it make FAR more sense if this was to be reversed? Shouldn't we design a life instead of just making a living? Shouldn't we adjust and raise OUR INCOMES to support and be more in line with our dreams instead?

But we make excuses. We come up with all sorts obstacles. We convince ourselves that we don't dare to dream big because....what?

So what we have come up with is something that looks like the graphic below:

We have positioned our income and debt in a place where the obstacles we have made, prevent us from seeing our dreams.

Is this sounding even remotely familiar to anyone?

So how can we change this around? That's simple. "Dare To Dream" Make them dreams HUGE! Make them CRAZY! Make them WILD! Dare to dream as a child again. Let's make that graphic again. This time like this:

You see the difference? This is a way that, even where you're at in life right now, you can see OVER the self imposed obstacles - rendering them into nothing more than speed bumps - and STILL be able to see your dream. Eventually your dream will eliminate the obstacles and your income will come more in line with your BIG dreams.

Now just sit back and dream. Dream of what you want out of the next year. Make it HUGE and then go for it. I can help you along the way. Contact me at davecapra@comcast.net

Mindset Matters

Sometimes it may feel uncomfortable to change.

Change can be where your biggest breakthrough’s are in life and business. Be ready and open to step out of your comfort zone. Don’t look for the negative in change, look for the positive.

Do you spend time with people who affect your mindset?

You may have also heard that your income is dictated by the people you spend time with. A mindset of a millionaire is different, they think differently. Surround yourself with big thinkers, positive people and entrepreneurs that have already reached a goal you are aiming for.

Are you looking back at past experiences that may of been negative in your life? Your beliefs determine your behavior. Change your beliefs so you focus on goals and look ahead. It’s almost impossible to move forward if you are stuck thinking about something negative in the past.

If you look at the word “attraction” at the end of the word is action. There has to be a balance between mindset and action. As you start to take action resources will show up in your life. Your vibration and confidence will begin to rise. Taking action shows that you are confident in your projects.

What is your purpose?

What drives you to get up early in the morning and go to bed late at night? Deep down everyone has a purpose. If you are not sure what it is, you need to find it. Everyone has some unique gift. What are you passionate about? Also, you must limit your excuses. It’s one of the biggest success eliminators.

Don’t look at change as bad, change is good. Be careful at what you spend your time thinking about. Make sure you are taking action daily. Even if it’s small steps, be consistent. Lastly, find out what your purpose is and focus all of your energy on it.

Remember....Mindset Matters!
